Special Colloquium: Duna Gylfadottir

Duna Gylfadottir will be presenting a colloquium entitled “A phonemic split in progress? The production and perception of the /s/-/θ/ contrast in Seville.”

Please note that this colloquium is specifically tailored toward an undergraduate audience — we hope that students will find it relatively accessible, even with more limited prior exposure to the study of linguistics. Note, too, that this colloquium is in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre rather than at Totem Field Studios.

This event is eligible for LOC credit. As always, we encourage all attendees to treat the event respectfully: please attend only if you are able to be present for the entire presentation and discussion (within the posted time limits).
