Two students have been honored with the Edna Dharmaratne Award: Nicole Ebbutt, an undergrad in speech sciences, and Ife Adebara, a Ph.D. student in linguistics. Congratulations to both! The award honors students with a commitment to volunteerism. Two awards were granted this year, exceptionally, in light of the especially deserving candidate pool and the difficulties COVID-19 has imposed.

The Dharmaratne Award is named after the linguistics department’s former head administrator, who served in that capacity from 1997 to 2017. Donations to the fund are always appreciated and especially welcome this year.
