Michael is a member of the Communication Dynamics lab under Dr. Eric Vatikiotis-Bateson.  His primary research interests include the phonology and phonetics of intonation, computational modeling and language acquisition. He is currently researching how linguistic representations of intonation interface with representations of intonation in acoustical engineering.
