In the UBC system, courses numbered 500 and above are graduate (M.A. and Ph.D.) courses. 400-level courses may also be available for graduate students.

Note that in any term that a student is not registered in any other course (e.g. in the summer term), they should register in either LING 549 (MA students) or LING 649 (PhD students).
